during the rest and contraction, weight contraction position for interrater reliability. (A) Resting position 0° measurement. (B) Resting position 30° measurement. (C) Contraction position 0° measurement. (D) Contraction position 30° measurement. (E) Weight con- traction position 0° measurement. (F) Weight contraction position 30° measurement. SD: standard deviation. ..PAGE:5 Jeong, et al:... and ratios for each position with 0° and 30° of hip abduction were not statistically significant. Conclusions: In the present study, the intra-rater reliability of muscle thickness measurements of the GM was good, and the inter-rater reliability was moderate to good. Reliable RUSI measurements of wide and large muscles, such as the GM muscle at rest and during contraction, are feasible. Further investigation is required to establish the reproducibility of the protocols presented in this study. -

Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of Schroth’s three-dimensional exercises in combination with respiratory muscle exercise (SERME) on Cobb’s angle and functional movement screen (FMS). Design: Randomized controlled trial. Methods: Fifteen subjects with scoliosis were randomly assigned to two groups. Eight subjects were assigned to the experimental group and seven subjects were assigned to the control group. The experimental group underwent SERME using... -

questions add up to 50 points, and the 10 activ- ity-related questions add up to 50 points (special activities+ general activities) totaling up to 100 points [34]. The PRTEE evaluation has an interrater reliability of .96, with lower scores indicating a higher level of elbow function. Pain levels To assess the level of elbow pain, the visual analogue scale (VAS) using a 10 cm line was used... Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of vibration resistance exercise (VRE) in patients with tennis elbow on strength, range of motion (ROM), function, pain and quality of life (QOL). Design: Randomized controlled trial. Methods: Twenty-seven participants were randomly assigned to either the VRE group (n=9), weight resistance exercise (WRE) group (n=9) or control group (n=9). Each group underwent hot compress for 15 minutes and electrotherapy for 15 minutes. The... -

is r=0.97-0.98, measurement tracking reliability is r=0.99, test-retest correlation co- efficient is found to be r=0.98-0.99 [26]. TUG To measure walking ability baseline, the subject was asked from a seated position with armrests to stand up and walk 3-meter, turn around, and walk back to the chair and sit down as time was measured. The Rater reliability with the TUG test in stroke patients... Objective: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of resistant exercise on the gait performance of a patient with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patient. Design: A case study. Methods: A 30-year-old male adult who had been diagnosed with systemic lupus erythmatosus (SLE) in April 2013, right middle cerebral artery infarction, and with left hemiplegia agreed to participate in this case study. Patient was unable to walk due to being affected with adynamia. Due to developing... -

The STS test has an excellent intrarater reliability of intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) (range, 0.97-0.98), interrater reliability (ICC=1.00), and test-retest reliability (ICC range, 0.99-1.00) in individuals with chronic hemiparetic stroke [18,19]. Berg balance scale The Berg balance scale (BBS) was used to assess the par- ticipant’s ability to maintain stability. The BBS is a... Objective: To evaluate the effects of sit-to-stand (STS) imagery group training (IGT) on STS movement and balance performance for chronic hemiparetic stroke. Design: Randomized controlled trial. Methods: A total of 30 people with chronic hemiparetic stroke (15 for STS-IGT group and 15 for control) were recruited in this study. The STS-IGT group participated in a videotape-based STS-IGT for 30 minutes a day, five days a week for six weeks, while the control group watched a documentary on... -

distance between the tip of the middle finger in the starting position and the same tip when a subject stretched his/her arm as for- ward as possible. The intrarater reliability was 0.92, and the interrater reliability was 0.98 [26]. TUG is a test to quickly assess a person’s basic mobility and balance; it measures with a stopwatch the time that a subject takes to rise from an armchair, wal... Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of balance training with plantar flexor stretching on ankle dorsi flexion range of motion (ROM), balance, and gait ability in stroke patients. Design: A randomized controlled pilot trial. Methods: Thirty stroke patients volunteered to participate in this study. The subjects were randomly allocated to two groups: the experimental group (n=15) received the neurodevelopment therapy plus balance training with plantar flexor stretching... -

closed fist against the sliding handle. Individuals were asked to the slide measurement bar as far forward as they could without losing balance. Test-re- test reliability and interrater reliability were r=0.89, r=0.98 respectively [16]. The Timed Up and Go test (TUG) was used to evaluate dynamic balance. This test is a widely used clinical test to evaluate balance and mobility [17]. Subjects... Objective: To study the effects of gait training with additional weight and gait training with non-additional weight on balance ability and gait ability in patients with chronic stroke through comparative analysis. Design: Randomized controlled trials. Methods: The subjects were divided randomly into two groups: additional weight group (AWG, n=12), and non-additional weight group (NAWG, n=10). Both groups received general physical therapy for 30 min in 1 session, 5 sessions per week during 6... -

computer for processing of the raw data into footfall patterns. The computer calculated the temporal and spatial gait para- meters. The validity and reliability of the GAITRite system has been well established [16]. Subjects were asked to walk at their comfortable speed, without use of an assistive de- vice, along a 10 m hallway. The GAITRite walkway was placed in the middle of the 10 m...
