The association of cryptorchidism, functional Sertoli cell tumors, and spermatic cord torsion has been rarely reported in the literature. Two dogs were admitted for bilateral skin alopecia and weight loss. The expression of osteopontin (OPN) in boar testis was studied. Western blot analysis detected 66- and 32-kDa OPN immunopositive bands in the testes of adult boars. In postnatal piglets, the 66-kDa OPN band was detected in the testes, but not the 32-kDa band. We identified two novel expansin (EXP) genes in the expressed sequence tag database of Bursaphelenchus xylophilus, designated as Bx-EXPB2 and -EXPB3. Novel Bx-EXPBs encoded 150 amino acids and their similarities in coding sequence were 70.7?84.0% to the previously reported EXPB1 of B. xylophilus. 이 연구에서는 조직학적 방법을 이용하여 산란 기간 중, 지중해담치의 조직학적 변화를 관찰하였다. 조직학적 관찰 결과, 마산만 지중해담치(M. edulis galloprovincialis)는 4월부터 산란을 시작하여 9월까지 산란이 지속되는 것을 관찰할 수 있었으며, 동일 시기에 비만도도 감소하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 소화맹낭 위축도는 산란 스트레스를 받는 6월($3.24{pm}1.16$)과 수온이 높은 9월($3.33{pm}1.19$)에 높은 위축도 지수를 보였다. 또한 이 시기(9월)에는 높은 소화맹낭 조직붕괴 현상도 동반되는 것을 관찰할 수 있었다.... -
