PEMFC MEA 제조 방법에 따른 성능 및 내구성

MEA를 제조하였다. 제조된 MEA를 체결한 단위전지의 성능을 측정해 각 MEA의 초기 성능을 비교하였다. 10초간 0.6V 일정전압 유지 후 0.9 V에서 10초간 유지하는 전극 열화 가속 시험(AST)을 각 MEA 적용해 내구성을 시험하였다. 전극 열화 가속 시험 6,000 사이클 전 후 I-V 곡선, 임피던스, 순환 전압측정법(CV), 선형쓸음 전기량측정법(LSV), 투과전자현미경(TEM) 등을 측정하였다. 닥터 블레이드 방법에 의해 제조한 MEA의 초기 성능이 제일 높았고, 스크린 프린트+스프레이 방법에 의해 제조한 MEA가 제일 낮은 열화 속도를 보였다. -

고분자전해질 연료전지용 MEA(Membrane and Electrode Assembly)와 가축분뇨를 이용해 미생물연료전지(MFC)를 구동하였다. 여러 균을 혼합해 MFC를 구동했을 때 개별적으로 구동했을 때보다 높은 개회로전위(OCV)를 나타냈다. 돼지분뇨, 소분뇨, 닭분뇨, 오리 분뇨 중 돼지 분뇨를 이용했을 때 제일 높은 OCV 540mV를 보였다. 그리고 돼지분뇨에서 최고 $963mW/m^2$의 전력이 발생하였다. MFC 구동과정에서 MEA의 $Na^{2+}$, $Ca^{2+}$, $K^+$ 이온 및 불순물들에 의한 오염이 MFC의 낮은 성능의 한 원인임을 확인하였다. -

acid/dichloroethane (5 v/v%) 혼합 용액에서 진행하였다. PFA 그라프트 폴리스티렌 멤브레인 (PFA-g-PSSA)의 화학적, 물리적, 전기화학적 및 형태의 특성은 푸리에 변환 적외선 분광기 (FTIR), 이온전도도 측정기 및 주사전자현미경 (SEM)으로 분석하고 함수율과 메탄올 투과도도 측정하였다. PFA-g-PSSA 멤브레인으로 제작한 MEA의 단위전지 성능을 평가하였고, 전지의 셀 저항은 임피던스 분석 장치를 이용하여 측정하였다. PFA-g-PSSA 멤브레인으로 제조한 MEA는 Nafion 112로 제조한 MEA보다 우수한 DMFC 성능을 나타내었다. -

전시법, 스프레이 코팅법, 스크린 프린팅법과 같은 다양한 방법을 사용하여 carbon paper나 carbon cloth등과 같은 전극 지지체 위에 코팅한다. 그러나 이러한 촉매 코팅방법들은 전극 지지체 위에 촉매를 균일한 두께로 코팅하기 어렵고, 촉매의 손실이 많으며, 또한 코팅 시간이 많이 필요하다는 단점들이 있다. 본 연구에서는 DMFC용 MEA의 전극층을 바코팅 방법 (bar-coating method)을 사용하여 한 번에 원하는 양의 촉매가 코팅되도록 제조하였다. 이렇게 제조한 전극 촉매층 표면과 단면의 형태를 SEM을 사용하여 관찰하였다.... -

대하여 이산화탄소 흡착실험과 특성 분석을 하였다. 흡착제의 XRD, FT-IR, $N_2$흡탈착 실험을 통하여 물리적 특성을 분석하였으며, 흡착실험은 15%의 이산화탄소를 사용하여 GC-TCD를 통하여 분석하였다.
