Results: The spatial gait parameters and the temporal gait parameters were significantly different between the stroke with falls group and the stroke without falls group (p<0.05). Furthermore, step length was the only significantly different among symmetry ratio (p<0.05). Conclusions: Experience of falls can lead to impairment of gait ability in stroke patients. This result is expected to be used as a basic data for rehabilitation program development to prevent a fall of post-stroke patients. -

indicate that resveratrol inhibits Huh7-HBx proliferation by decreasing cyclin D1 expression through blockade of Akt signaling. We investigated the anticarcinogenic effect and mechanism of resveratrol in xenograft model mice implanted with Huh7-HBx cells. Intraperitoneal resveratrol injection reduced tumor size in the mice. Expression of survivin was reduced, but cyclin D1 was not affected. The results demonstrate that resveratrol treatment may help manage HBV-induced HCC by regulating survivin. -

This is the first case report to describe the tumor regressive effect of systemic human neural stem cell (NSC)/5-fluorocytosine (5-FC) therapy on canine metastatic lung tumor. at the injury site. Locomotor function was significantly improved in hUCB-MSCs transplanted groups. Quantitative ELISA of extract from entire injured spinal cord showed increased expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), nerve growth factor (NGF) and neurotrophin-3 (NT-3). Our results show that treatment of SCI with hUCB-MSCs can improve locomotor functions, and suggest that increased levels of BDNF, NGF and NT-3 in the injured spinal cord were the main therapeutic effect.
