A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Applicability of Web-Based Interventions for Individuals with Depression and Quality of Life Impairment
Danbi Yang, Ji-Won Hur, Yoo Bin Kwak, Sung-Won Choi 대한신경정신의학회 Psychiatry Investigation 8 Pages
3 759-766 (8 pages)
adequate effects of web-based interventions. Conclusion_Our results suggest robust benefits of employing web-based treatments for depressive symptoms. However, the adequacy of these relatively new intervention tools for individuals who suffer severe impairments of quality of life was found insufficient. The current study demonstrates the need to further develop web-based intervention techniques to improve overall functioning, as well as the clinical symptoms of patients with mental disorders. -
The Evaluation Methods of the Maxillary Sinus for Ensuring Predictability in the Sinus Graft Surgery
Journal of Dental Implant Research 13 Pages
7 61-73 (13 pages)
The edentulous posterior maxillary region presents unique and challenging conditions in implant dentistry compared with other regions of the jaws1,2). The available bone is lost from the inferior expansion of the sinus and residual ridge resorption after tooth loss. These factors increase stress to the implants. However, despite these concerns, treatment methods designed specifically for this area allow it to be as predictable as any other intraoral region. -
Evaluation of Durum Wheat Genotypes for Resistance against Root Rot Disease Caused by Moroccan Fusarium culmorum Isolates

1 1-11 (11 pages)
A total of four response types were observed (R, MR, MS, and S) revealing that different genes in both the pathogen and the host were activated in 53% of interactions. Most genotypes were susceptible to eight or more isolates, while the Moroccan cultivar Marouan was reported resistant to three isolates and moderately resistant to three others. Similarly, the Australian breeding line SSD1479-117 was reported resis- tant to two isolates and moderately resistant to four others. The ICARDA elites... -
Comparison of Bacterial Community of Healthy and Erwinia amylovora Infected Apples
Su-Hyeon Kim, Gyoengjun Cho, Su In Lee, Da-Ran Kim, Youn-Sig Kwak The Plant Pathology Journal 8 Pages
9 396-403 (8 pages)
As result of these experiments, the infected trees had low species richness and operational taxonomic unit diversity when compared to healthy trees. Rhizospheric bacterial communities were stable regardless of infection. But the communities in endosphere and episphere were significanlty affected by E. amylovora infection. We also found that several metabolic pathways differ significantly between infected and healthy trees. In particular, we observed differences in sugar metabolites. The finding... -
Development of a Daily Epidemiological Model of Rice Blast Tailored for Seasonal Disease Early Warning in South Korea
The Plant Pathology Journal 12 Pages

lead time of a few months. As a first step to establish a seasonal disease early warning service using seasonal climate forecasts, we developed the EPIRICE Daily Risk Model for rice blast by extracting and modifying the core infection algorithms of the EPIRICE model. The daily risk scores generated by the EPIRICE Daily Risk Model were successfully converted into a realistic and measurable disease value through statistical analyses with 13 rice blast incidence datasets, and subsequently validated... -
An Integrated Modeling Approach for Predicting Potential Epidemics of Bacterial Blossom Blight in Kiwifruit under Climate Change
The Plant Pathology Journal 14 Pages
7 459-472 (14 pages)
The increasing variation in climatic conditions under climate change directly influences plant-microbe interactions. To account for as many variables as possible that may play critical roles in such interactions, the use of an integrated modeling approach is necessary. Here, we report for the first time a local impact assessment and adaptation study of future epidemics of kiwifruit bacterial blossom blight (KBB) in Jeonnam province, Korea, using an integrated modeling approach. This study... -
Detection of Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. michiganensis Assisted by Micro- Raman Spectroscopy under Laboratory Conditions

to 72 h after inoculation, the evolution of the incidence and severity on plant population varied over time and it kept an aggregated spatial pattern. The contagion process reached 79% just 24 days after the epidemic was induced. Micro-Raman spectroscopy proved its speed, efficiency and usefulness as a non-destructive method for the preliminary detection of Cmm. Carotenoid specific bands with wavelengths at 1146 and 1510 cm-1 were the distinguishable markers. Chemometric analyses showed the best... -
Control of Basal Stem Rot Disease in Oil Palm by Supplementation of Calcium, Copper, and Salicylic Acid

responsible for the thickness of the secondary cell walls and middle lamella compared to untreated samples. It was therefore, concluded that continuous supplementation of minerals nutrients and SA could effectively suppress disease severity by reducing ergosterol activity and also improve the process of lignification in the treated plants. Furthermore, this treatment also managed to delay the onset of BSR symptoms and promote the growth of the seedlings and eventually suppress the BSR disease. -
Short-Term Effects of Low-Level Heavy Metal Contamination on Soil Health Analyzed by Nematode Community Structure
The Plant Pathology Journal 11 Pages
6 329-339 (11 pages)
The short-term effects of low-level contamination by heavy metals (As, Cd, Cu, and Pb) on the soil health were examined by analyzing soil nematode community in soils planted with tomatoes. For this, the soils were irrigated with five metal concentrations ([1, 1/4, 1/4, 1/4, and 0] × maximum concentrations [MC] detected in irrigation waters near abandoned mine sites) for 18 weeks. Heavy metal concentrations were significantly increased in soils irrigated with MC of heavy metals, among... -
Visual Analysis for Detection and Quantification of Pseudomonas cichorii Disease Severity in Tomato Plants
The Plant Pathology Journal 11 Pages
3 300-310 (11 pages)
is known about the metabolic and phenotypic responses of the host plants to Pseudomonas cichorii infection based on image-based analysis. To investigate alterations in tomato plants according to disease severity, we inoculated plants with different cell densities of P. cichorii using dipping and syringe infiltration methods. High-dose inocula (≥ 10 cfu/ml) induced evident necrotic lesions within one day that corresponded to bacterial growth in the infected tissues. Among the chlorophyll...
