이 글은 방사성탄소연대를 바탕으로 한국 후기 구석기시대의 유적점유밀도, 곧 인구변동을 추정하고,이를 수렵채집사회의 광역교류네트워크의 측면에서 설명하고자 한다. 고고학의 맥락에서 방사성탄소연대를 비판적으로 검토하고 평가하면 최후빙하극성기(LGM) 동안 유적점유가 꾸준히 증가했음을 알수 있다. 그러나 LGM 이후 자료는 별로 없으며, 플라이스토세 최말기에 소수 확인되다가 후빙기에 들어서며 다시 희소해진다. 춥고 건조했던 LGM에는 점유밀도가 높다가 기온상승기에 급감하며 후빙기지구온난화와 더불어 희소해지는... -
