by the US financial reforms, in particular anti money laundering provisions, the Volcker Rule and the proposed OTC derivatives margin requirements, and considers some of the dilemmas presented by modern global banking and its concomitant regulation. The conclusion is that we are likely to see more regional reforms that are not necessarily uniform, and that this might not be a bad result, given the complexity of the financial markets and the need to respond flexibly to evolving circumstances. -

This paper argues for more rigorous PD designs, considered evidence-based content and delivery that are embedded within a rich evidence-base of practice, and that focus on educator effectiveness, practice change, and also on the benefits to children’s learning and development. compare the significant differences in mean scores on parenting practices and EF skills between the sample in the intervention and control groups. A bivariate correlation was also utilized to evaluate the significant correlations between the parenting practices and preschoolers’ EF skills. The findings showed the significantly positive impact of the 101s parent training program on the parenting practices and preschoolers’ EF skills. The implication, limitations, and suggestions are discussed. -

The following key themes were identified in the forum posts: the importance of child care; brain research and early childhood; and, challenges balancing career and family. Findings provide an insight into current issues relevant to early childhood policies in Australia, from the perspective of a self-selected group of community members, in response to an issue related to care and early childhood. -

This study examined how pre- and post-service early childhood teachers’ beliefs and responses to bullying among young children differ by level of qualification, type of bullying and whether or not it was witnessed.
