황복, Takifugu obscurus의 염색체수는 2n=44로 fundamental number는 64이었으며 암${cdot}$수간 이형의 성염색체는 나타나지 않았다. 적혈구 세포 및 핵의 장${cdot}$단축은 각각 $11.01 imes7.95;{mu}m,;4.05 imes3.15;{mu}m$로 나타났다. 이에 따르는 적혈구 세포 및 핵의 표면적 및 부피는 각각 $68.76{mu}m^2,;366.00;{mu}m^3$과 $10.06{mu}m^2,;21.36;{mu}m^3$으로 나타났다. 암${cdot}$수에서 적혈구수는 공통적으로 $12~13 imes10^{15}/mell$ 이었다. 2배체 황복 아가미조직은 1개 혹은 2개의 인형성 부위가 존재하였다. 이상의 황복을 대상으로한 연구결과는 황복의 세포분류학적 연구 및 차후 황복의 양식산업화시 도래될 수 있는 염색체공학에 기본자료로 유용할 것이다.
The cytogenetic analysis of river puffer, Takifugu obscurus belongs to Family Tetraodontidae, was performed. The chromosome number of T. obscurus was 44 and the fundamental number was 64. Heteromorphic sex chromosomes were not found. The mean cellular size and nuclear size were $11.01 imes7.95{mu}m$ and $4.05 imes3.15{mu}m$, respectively. The mean surface area and volume in cell and nucleus were $68.76{mu}m^2;and;366.00{mu}m^3,;10.06{mu}m^2;and;21.36{mu}m^3$, respectively. The number of erythrocyte of both female and male was $12~13 imes10^5/mell$. Gill tissues from diploid individuals had cells with one or two nucleoli. These cytogenetic studies should be used for cytotaxonomy and as a valuable estimation of polyploidy to come in T. obscurus.
