Rhizopertha dominica is a serious pest of stored commodities. The population shows its peak during the monsoon season. The use of chemicals has resulted in resistance. Therefore, some substitutes need to be identified; the probe traps are one of such techniques. The laboratory-reared 50,000 adults of both sexes were used for present investigation. The response of this insect was tested against empty probe traps and those filled with tobacco and neem dried leaves and mustard oil as repellents and attractant, respectively. It has been observed that probe traps have the ability to provide aggregating places for Rhizopertha dominica, while the performance of these traps could further be enhanced with tobacco leaves, as these helped to trap more individuals after 72 hr.
