One of the key technologies in melt decontamination of the radioactive metallic wastes is to
control the distribution behavior of radionuclide according to the variation of the operating condition
and the composition of slag. The radionuclides are distributed into ingot, slag and dust in accordance
with their thermodynamic characteristics and the slag composition. The distribution upon characteristic
of the radionuclides is considerably dependent upon a sort of metal to be melted, the type of slag
and the composition of slag.
