The trend of rapid increasing plastic consumption eventually has brought up an environmental issue on treating plastic wastes and after the air and water contamination, this is called a third industrial pollution. Most of plastic wastes which raise various environmental contamination and social problems, are treated being burned and buried. The purpose of development of recycling technology is to reduce the environmental load to minimum. restrain the consumption of insufficient natural resources like petroleum by circulating the use of natural resources. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the technology through the economical and practical approach. The gasification technology, which uses steam plasma torch, satisfies with the above conditions. Using a steam plasma gasification system, PP, and made compound, has been completely decomposed and converted into low-molecular-weight gases,, dominantly carbon monoxide(CO) and hydrogen gas(H2). Product gases on so-called synthetic gas for use as a fuel obtained containing 56% of H2 and 25% of CO under C/O ratio of 1.0 and a gasification temperature 1400℃ in the first chamber, respectively. The operation of a steam plasma torch and gasification system is stable and reliable within the necessary range of parameters.
