This essay addresses the inevitable and impending changes in our societies and psychology’s responsibilities to help our populations to facilitate and adjust to these changes. To be very specific, population structures in all industrialized countries are changing in a rapid pace. Are these countries ready to deal with the changing demographics? More importantly for psychologists, do we have sufficient information or are we doing the necessary preparations to meet the challenges of the changing demographics?
