This study looks into the science-teaching efficacy and attitude on pre-service early childhood
teachers using PBL 'Early Childhood Science Education' class which contains Nuri Curriculum's
contents on scientific inquiry. For the study, the PBL questions which were made with contents from
Nuri Curriculum's scientific inquiry were checked by experts before being used in the 'Early
Childhood Science Education' class, and the research participants were 50 students in the class: 29
sophomores and 21 juniors. For the research data, the two test results from science-teaching efficacy
and science-teaching attitude from before and after the class, and three reflective journals individually
written after the PBL problem solving were collected and analyzed. As a result, the scientific-teaching
efficacy and attitude of pre-service teachers' who took the Nuri Curriculum's PBL 'Early Childhood
Science Education' class were improved. This kind of result shows that the experience provided by
PBL containing Nuri Curriculum's contents which helps the participants go through problem solving,
enabled the pre-service early childhood teachers to build up confidence and have positive attitude
towards carrying out young children's science activities in a constructivist point-of-view at the spot of
education for children.
