The purpose of the study is to look into how group art therapy has effects
on ego-resilience of the women naturalized by marriage. The subjects were
20 women naturalized by marriage at multicultural center located in A-Gu, G
City. They were divided into 10 women of an experimental group, and 10
women of a control group. The therapy program consisted of 13 sessions
from March 2015 to April 2015, twice a week. Each session lasted
approximately 60 minutes. This study used the ego-resilience scale which
Seon Hee-Ra(2013) had developed by adaptation that scale which were first
created by Block and Kremen(1996). The study examined the homogeneity of
the experimental group and a control group through an independent sample
t-test, this study is analysed by using repeated measure ANOVA. According
to findings of the investigation, group art therapy for ego-resilience promote
of marriage migrant women was shown not only the general marriage
migrant women but also these separate ego-resilience in connection with
individual categories such as the interpersonal relationship, the curiosity, the
vitality, behavioral and emotional control. The future study suggests that any
follow-up researches should deal with how the group art therapy of this
study would maintain for more marriage migrant women. According to
findings of the investigation, group art therapy facilitates ego-resilience of
the women naturalized by marriage.
