This study aims to develop a training program for kindergarten teachers on traditional culture education
based on Nuri curriculum. For this purpose, following three steps were preceded. The first step was to set
the orientation of the training program to develop. With relevant literature review on traditional culture
education in relation to Nuri curriculum, a survey for kindergarten teachers’ demand on this program as
well as professional consultation were also taken place in this process. In the second step, the main goals
and contents of the program, training methods, and detailed evaluation standard were established. In the
third step, the program was finalized after having preliminary test on this program taken and its
applicability and validity were discussed with professionals. This study would be significant in that it
establishes the fundamental training program for Korean traditional culture education, and provides the
primary resources for further study.
