The 'humanism' appeared on Chinese literature in 1980s tried to find true self, recovery of human being, and wound healing. Wang Meng, as well as, sought breaking from the Cultural Revolution and looked back upon his life. He used a ‘stream of consciousness’, and tried to ‘ego search’ and ‘wound healing’ through writing novels. He faced up to the reality and wrote them directly to reflect his true life. From the beginning he was absorbed in memories of his childhood and his lost youth. The character forgot them because of his hard times, but he realized the flying years of youth that had hopes and dreams after his rough times. He, however, got to know that momories are opportunity to reflect on his lives, that also is, kind of process to find himself. Along with ego search, Chinese contemporary literature set great store by personality, compassion, humanitarianism, the dignity and value of human, so they started finding 'life story'. It not only provides turning point of changing life but answers how to live a meaningful life. Wang Meng also found all sorts of 'life story' in his novels, tried to heal wound in the period of time. All of them become hopes and power getting on new world.
