The purpose of this study is to develop a happiness program for young children in relation with the Nuri
curriculum. This study was conducted in accordance with the following procedures: First, in addition to
the theoretical consideration of advanced studies related to happiness, the Nuri curriculum for children
aged 5, and the happiness program for young children, this study established a fundamental direction for
the development of the program by conducting a survey on teachers’ demand for young children's
happiness and the happiness program, and by consulting with experts. Second, this study composed a
tentative plan by establishing objectives, educational content, methods of teaching and learning, the role of
teachers, and detailed standards for evaluation. Third, this study developed the final plan for the program
through consultation with experts aiming at correcting supplementing applicability at the site and
subsequent problems by carrying out a preliminary study on the tentative plan for the program. This
study is significant because it provides a program that is applicable to early childhood education at a time
when interest in young children's happiness has increased, but there’s still a lack of applicable programs.
