This study is a trial to find some implications in public relation studies through the analysis on
organization-public relationships between members of Hanbit nuclear power plant and local
residents. This study uses co-orientation model which is composed of objective agreement, subjective
congruence, accuracy of public relationship to measure the communication effect. The result shows as
below: Organization-public relationship consist of 6 composing variables. All agreement on
organization-public relationships appeared statistically significant about 6 composing variables.
‘Trust’, ‘Mutual Control’ show low rate of objective agreement, subjective congruence, and accuracy
between members of Hanbit nuclear power plant and local residents. The members of Hanbit nuclear
power plant were high aware than Local residents about ‘Trust’, ‘Mutual Control’. Local residents
were high aware than members of Hanbit nuclear power plant about ‘Public Relationships’, ‘Exchange
Relationships’. ‘Commitment’ and ‘Satisfaction’ shows high rate of agreement and accuracy. The
implication drawn from the result is that mutual communication between members of Hanbit nuclear
power plant and local residents are vivid in a good manner at the level of ‘Trust’, ‘Mutual Control’,
‘Commitment’ and ‘Satisfaction’. But it is necessary efforts to reduce awareness of local residents on
‘Public Relationships’, ‘Exchange Relationships’ for Hanbit nuclear power plant.
