본 연구는 교사의 정서표현성이 유아의 정서조절력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 이러한 관계 에 대해 교사-유아관계가 조절효과를 보이는지를 알아보았다. 이를 위해 만 4, 5세 유아 154 명과 담임교사 14명을 연구대상으로 유아의 정서조절력, 교사의 정서표현성, 교사-유아관계 질문지를 교사가 평정하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 21프로그램을 이용하여 기술 통계, 적 률상관분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 교사의 부정적 정서표현성과 유아의 정서조절력은 유의한 부적 상관관계를, 교사-유아관계는 유아의 정서조절력과 유의한 상관관 계를 나타내었다. 또한 교사의 정서표현성이 유아의 정서조절력에 미치는 영향에 대해 교사- 유아 간 친밀관계의 조절효과가 나타났다. 구체적으로 교사의 부정적 정서표현성은 유아의 정서조절력에 부적 영향을 나타내지만, 교사-유아 간 친밀관계가 높은 경우 그 영향력이 더 이상 유의하지 않았다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 유아의 정서조절력에 대한 교사 역할, 특히 교 사-유아 관계의 중요성을 논의하였다.
The study examined the moderating effects of teacher-child relationship on the association between teacher’s emotional expressiveness and child’s emotional regulation. The participants were 154 children and 14 preschool teachers. The teachers completed rating scales that measured the teacher’s emotional expressiveness, teacher-child relationship, and child’s emotional regulation. The collected data were analyzed using Pearson correlations and hierarchical multiple regressions. Results showed that teacher’s negative emotional expressiveness and teacher-child relationship had a significant correlation with child’s emotional regulation. Hierarchical regression analysis indicated that the interaction of teacher’s negative emotional expressiveness and teacher-child closeness in their relationship predicted the child’s emotional regulation. Teacher’s negative emotional expressiveness did not have a significant correlation with child’s emotional regulation in the group of higher teacher-child closeness in the relationship. This study discussed the importance of teacher-child relationship.
