Social Network Analysis(SNA) as research methodology and theory was widely applied to various academic fields. Also in educational discipline the studies related with SNA had been increased. The critical approaches and discussions about SNA were animated in other disciplines but educational field in Korea were not. The purpose of this study was to investigate the trends of educational researches which applied SNA. For the purpose 131 articles published in Korean journals were collected using academic DB(RISS) of Korea Education and Research Information Service. According to the research framework were used for the analysis, which was constructed with 12 elements of 3 domains(characteristics of research, data collection for SNA, data analysis for SNA). The findings were as in the followings: First, for 10 years, the articles dealing with SNA had been increased rapidly. And vocational and adult education was the discipline in which the most articles about SNA were published in Korea. Second, the dependant and independent variables of social networks were mainly academic achievement, job-seeking activities, organizational behavior, and satisfaction/happiness. But about 50% of the articles were focused on SNA itself not dependant and independent variables. Third, data for SNA were mainly collected from students and learners and cohesion and centrality were most frequently used for analyzing networks data. Forth, about 70% in the articles explained research purpose & measurement and statistical methods. And in the other criteria of research framework, about 50% of the articles did not explain the criteria. Based on the findings, conclusions and implications were discussed.
