The objective of this study is to explore the response to humor and humor style of the undergraduate students, then to examine the relations between the coping with humor as well as humor style and their psychological well-being. For this objective, 240 students attending to the universities in Capital Metropolitan Area were sampled to make a research on how to deal with humor, the humor style and the variation of psychological well-being, as well as the effects of coping with humors and humor style on the psychological well being based on the general characteristics of the target group. The result showed following conclusions.
First, the result of examining on the relation between coping with humors, there were static correlations in the overall psychological well being and coping with humors, as well as in the sub factors of psychological well being, such as personal growth, positive interpersonal relationship, and self-acceptance.
Second, the result of examining on the relation between humor style and psychological well being, there was a static correlations between adaptive humor among humor styles and the psychological well being, but on the contrary, a negative correlation has appeared between non-adaptive humor and the psychological well being.
Finally, the findings from studying on the effects of coping with humors as well as humor styles on the psychological well being, coping with humors had a positive effect while the adaptive humor among humor styles had a definite effect on the psychological well being.
