이 연구에서는 교사가 시각중복장애학생들과 함께 교육 현장에서 실제 실행하는 수업 사례를 ‘수업구 조분석’을 이용하여 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 통하여 나타난 시각중복장애학생에 대한 수업의 양상을 알 아보고, 더 나아가 시각중복장애학생에 대한 효과적인 수업 실행 방안을 모색해 보는 데 그 목적이 있었 다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 질적 사례 연구 방법을 활용하였다. 이 연구의 참여자는 교육현장에 서 시각중복장애학생의 교육을 담당하고 있는 2명의 교사들이었고, 수집한 자료는 연구 참여자가 실행한 각각의 수업 사례이었다. 수집한 수업은‘수업구조분석’방법을 활용하여 분석하였고, 결과를 도출하였다. 이 연구에서 도출한 결과를 토대로 시각중복장애학생에 대한 효율적인 수업 실행 방안과 수업의 질 향상을 위한‘수업구조분석’방법의 활용 면에서 논의를 하였다. 시각중복장애학생의 학습 특성이 매우 다양하기 때문에 이들에 대한 효과적인 교수ㆍ학습 방법을 모색하는 것은 매우 어려운 작업이지만, 새로운 노력을 지속적으로 기울일 필요가 있을 것이다. 이러한 노력을 통해 교육 현장에서 드러나는 교사들의 실천적 지식들을 공유한다면 시각중복장애학생과의 교실 수업을 개선하는 데 필요한 단초를 제공해 줄 수 있을 것이다.
This study analyzes cases of classroom instructions from schools that are using the “time-lined structure diagram analysis” for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities. The purposes are to both examine several aspects of classroom instructions and to explore effective ways of implementing classes for this student population via a qualitative case study method. The participants in this study include two school teachers whose classrooms are comprised of students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities, and the collected data include their classroom instruction cases. The collected cases are analyzed using the time-lined structure diagram analysis method. Based on the results of this study, efficient teaching methods for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities and the application of time-lined structure diagram analysis to improve the quality of teaching are discussed. Finding effective teaching and learning methods for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities is a difficult task because the learning characteristics of these students are quite diverse. However, continuous efforts should be made to that end. The practical knowledge shared through these efforts in schools can provide a necessary basis for improving classroom instruction for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities.
