국문초록

Jackson Pollock's dripping paintings was represented the flatness of a surface with line and colour only. His paintings was far from with realistic, naturalistic image. But in his works of art it is an unusual phenomenon that his and come into views with human figure. So it is analyzed to represent his mother image through the with Psychoanalysis theory. It is interpreted with the image of 'object a' with Jacques Lacan's theory's because of splitting mother's body in the course of the symbolic state. Pollock cut out the human figure in , and he represented the human figure to again. His work was stand for absence and presence of mother's figure. His work was resembled child's paly with wood reel with a piece of string round it. So to speak, it menas the absence of mother's body with the child's throwing of it. On the contrary it means the presence of mother's body with the child's drawing of it. So he wanted to the joyful return of his mother through the image of his works. But the appearance of the woman's image with the was represented the image of the repetition -compulsion. It is resembled the child's repeated behavior with the desire of the repetition -compulsion. The child's repeated behavior is meaning the renunciation of the satisfaction of an instinct. For that reason the appearance of woman's figure with is interpreted with as the absence of mother. Finally in the view of the result, he wanted the return of his mother with through and , and represented his renunciation of the satisfaction of an instinct, so to speak be existing of his mother's absence.
