The purpose of the study is to explore the educational implications of the parent’s participation in school activity by reviewing previous research, lawful, and political perspectives relevant to the parent’s participation in school activity. For this, the study reviewed the concept of the parent’s participation in school, the factor influencing the parent’s participation in school activity, and the relationship between the parent’s participation in school activity and educational outcomes. And it reviewed the developmental process, ordinance of the parent’s participation in school activity, and policy. The main results are as the followings. Firstly, ‘the parent’s participation in school’ and ‘the parent’s participation’ need to be defined separately. Secondly, the factor influencing the parent’s participation in school activity can be largely classified into the child, the parent, and social-cultural factors. Among them, there is a lack of research on social-cultural factors that need to be activated in the future. Finally, various polities and programs need to be developed at the local government level in order to promote the parent’s participation in school activity.
