중국 유아·어린이 방송은 이미 1958년의 <작은 동호회(小小俱乐部)>로 시작하였으나 문화대혁명을 겪으면 서 주춤하였고, 다시 1980년대 초반부터는 활발하게 진행되기 시작하였다. 중국은 1984년 최초로 애니메이션 제작 기관을 설립한 이래 다양한 작품을 제작한 바 있으며 1990년대 이후부터는 다양한 형식과 내용의 유아·어린이 프로그램을 제작하였다. 이후 중국의 유아·어린이 TV프로그램은 방송채널의 확보에서 실험적인 프로그램의 운영에 이르기까지 커다란 발전을 이룬 반면, 여러 가지 문제점이 드러나기도 했다. 본 연구 에서는 중국 유아·어린이 TV프로그램의 문제점에 대해, “유아가 주체로 참여하는 방송프로그램이어야 한다.”“유아의 발달에 적합한 방송프로그램이어야 한다.”“지역사회의 특징을 반영한 방송프로그램이어야 한다.”“교육과 오락성의 균형을 이루는 방송프로그램이어야 한다.”“중국의 전통을 반영하는 방송프로그램이어야 한다.”등 다섯 가지로 나누어서 논의하였다. 본 연구에서 살펴본 다섯 가지 문제는 중국 유아·어린이 방송에서 계속 고민해야하는 과제이지만, 한편으로는 우리나라 유아·어린이 방송에서도 해결해야할 문제이기도 하다. 또한 더 넓게 보자면 방송의 문제에 그치지 않고 유아교육 전반에 걸쳐서 시사하는 바가 큰 과제라고 볼 수 있다
Children s TV programs in China had already begun in 1958 with the . However it had slowed down under the Cultural Revolution and started to be active in the early 1980s. Since the establishment of the animation production agency for the first time in 1984, China had produced a variety of works. Since the 1990s, it had produced infant and child programs in various formats and contents. Since then, Children s TV programs in China had made great strides, from securing broadcasting channels to operating experimental programs, but have also presented various problems. In this study, the problems of Chinese infant and child TV programs were reviewed based on the research results in China. Topics such as Children should participate in the TV program as subjects, TV programs should be suitable for children’s development, Children’s TV programs should reflect the characteristics of the local community, “Children’s TV programs should meet the balances between education and entertainment,” Children’s TV programs should reflect China s tradition were argued. Basically the five issues discussed in this study were regarding children’s TV programs in China. However those problems were closely related with problems of children’s TV programs in Korea and early childhood education in general.
