본 연구의 목적은 학습장애 진단과 관련한 선행 연구 고찰 및 최근 3년간 수행하였던 일 련의 연구들로부터 수집한 데이터에 근거하여 ‘읽기 성취와 읽기 심리처리를 통한 읽기장애 진단 모형’을 제안하는 데 있다. 본 연구에서는 제안한 ‘읽기 성취와 읽기 심리처리를 통한 읽기장애 진단 모형’은 4단계인데, 첫째, 읽기 성취 평가를 실시하여 저성취를 확인하고, 둘 째, 읽기 심리처리 평가를 실시하여 저성취를 확인하며, IQ는 70 이상을 확인하고, 넷째, 읽 기 성취 및 심리처리의 저성취는 다른 장애의 결과로 나타나는 것이 아님을 확인한다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 읽기 성취 기저에 관여하는 읽기 심리처리 변인은 다음과 같다. 단어인 지 심리처리 변인으로는 자모지식, 빠른 자동 이름대기, 음운기억, 어휘를, 읽기유창성 심리 처리 변인으로는 빠른 자동 이름대기, 어휘를, 읽기이해 심리처리 변인으로는 어휘, 문장 따 라 말하기, 듣기이해, 빠른 자동 이름대기를 제안하였다. 끝으로 본 연구 결과의 요약, 연구 결과의 제한점 및 향후 연구에 관한 제언이 논의되었다.
The purposes of this study were to propose the diagnosis model of learning disability through a test reading achievement and reading psychological processes based on literature review and results from a series of research studies conducted by our research team. The diagnosis model of learning disability through a test reading achievement and reading psychological processes consists of four steps: (a) demonstrating low achievement in reading achievement, (b) demonstrating low achievement in reading psychological processes, (c) showing > 70 IQ, (d) making sure that the low achievement in reading achievement and reading psychological processes are not due to other disabilities. This study suggests the following reading psychological process variables. First, psychological process variables underlying word recognition include letter knowledge, rapid automatized naming, phonological memory, and vocabulary. Second, psychological process variables underlying reading fluency include rapid automatized naming and vocabulary. Third, psychological process variables underlying reading comprehension include vocabulary, sentence repetition, listening comprehension, and rapid automatized naming. Results were summarized and the study limitations were discussed.
