This study has explored the status and methods of sexual abuse against children through focus group interviews so as to suggest professional and sensitive responses of experts related to sexual abuse against children. To achieve such a study goal, this study has conducted focus group interviews targeting child protection experts with experience on suspect cases of sexual abuse against children, and has carried out a qualitative analysis. According to the findings, the most sexual abusers against children were the next of kin including biological fathers, step fathers and uncles, followed by neighbors and adolescent peer groups. In this context, the child protection experts actually have suggested continual sex education, the punishment of abusers, encouragement of reporting mindset of child protection experts, systematic case management on the children of the vulnerable classes, support network establishment and specialized programs development for child protection. Based on the findings of this study, the child protection experts are considered to need more professional and sensitive social welfare implementation methods.
