본 연구는 노인학대의 실태를 규명하고 이를 토대로 노인학대에 대한 대처방안을 제시하여 궁극적으로 노인의 삶의 질 향상을 도모하는데 목적을 두었다. 연구결과, 노인학대의 6가지 유형 중 언어․정서적 학대가 가장 많았으며, 신체적 학대II(직접상해)를 제외한 5가지 유형에서 공통적으로 학력, 경제상태, 건강상태, 가족관계가 낮거나 좋지 않을수록 학대가 높아지는 것으로 나타났고, 방임과 자기방임 간에는 매우 강한 양의 상관관계가 있는 것 으로 나타났다, 노인학대에 대한 대처방안은 법적․제도적 지원체계 마련 등의 제도적 및 정책적 측면과 사회복지서비스 확충 등의 사회사업적 측면, 그리고 노부모와 자녀와의 관계증진 등의 개인․가족적 측면에서 제시하였다.
This study was, investigating the current conditions of the aged abuse, and basing on them, to show the solutions on the aged abuse, and thereby, promoted the quality improvement of the aged life. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; First, Concerning the overall tendency of the aged abuse, it was found that the language and emotional abuse was the highest among 6 abuse areas in this study, Second, Among 6 abuse types, when the 5 types except physical abuse II(direct injury) were situated in low level education, poor economic condition, unhealthy and bad family relation, which showed a high rate of abuse. Third, According to the result of analyzing correlation between 6 abuse types, between abandonment and self-abandonment showed very strong correlation. Solutions for the aged abuse were to present legal and institutional support system, to improve the social work service aspect, to enhance the relation between old person and family.
