The tendency of modern philosophy development has been greatly influenced by science. As such, there is a need for research that is related to science in the philosophy of music education. This study suggests the philosophical view of music education more objectively and strengthens its philosophical basis. This study discussed the organism of the body as a source of music and aesthetic experience centered on the correlation between philosophy and science for the philosophical foundation of music education. This study examined the philosophical views of Aristoteles, J. Locke, J. Dewey, S. Langer, R. Shusterman, R. Steiner and A. Sumanasara, and also put forward a view emphasizing the body’s aesthetic abilities as the live creature for the philosophical foundation. It also discussed the organization of the aesthetic body of organism as ‘the basic function principle of the body’, ‘the basic life unit of the body’, and ‘the perception and reaction of the body’ for the scientific foundation. These show that music and science are closely related to each other in relation to the organism’s body. Although this view is insufficient to lay the foundation for the philosophy of music education, it is sufficient to reason out the major philosophical tasks of music education.
