Purpose: This study explored the experiences among Korean American staff members working at Korean nursing homes in the Greater Chicago area. Method: Three staff members from four Korean nursing homes participated in this study. Data were collected from face-to-face, semi-structured in-depth interview. Thematic analysis was applied for data analysis. Result: Korean American staff members\' working experiences consisted of three patterns. These included ambivalence, become one family,\' and feeling of exhaustion. Korean American elders\' adaptation and adjustment processes and contexture factors were presented additionally. Conclusion: Nurse professionals need to specify their roles in nursing homes and to increase public awareness about nursing care in nursing homes.
