이 연구의 목적은 컴퓨터 이용 질적 연구 분석 프로그램(CAQDAS)인 NVivo 10을 사용하여 교육연구를 실행하 는 과정을 기술하는 것이었다. 구체적으로 “초등체육 교육실습에 참여하는 동안에 10명의 교생들은 어떻게 수업 지식을 표현하였는가?”에 대한 코딩과 분석 절차를 상세히 기술하여 NVivo 10과 같은 질적 연구 프로그램의 활 용 가능성을 타진하는 것이었다. NVivo 10을 사용하여 Strauss와 Corbin(1998)이 제시한 개방코딩, 축코딩 및 선 택적 코딩을 실행하면서 초등체육 교육실습 개선에 대한 패러다임 모형을 구안하였다. 이 과정을 통해 NVivo 10 과 같은 질적 연구 분석 프로그램이 초등체육 교육실습에 대한 연구에서 능률적이고 진실성이 확립될 수 있는 유용한 도구가 될 수 있다는 것을 밝혔다.
The purpose of this study was to describe the procedures of using NVivo 10, a widely used computerassisted qualitative data analysis software (CAQDAS) in educational research. Specifically, “How did ten preservice teachers express their pedagogical content knowledges during the eight weeks of elementary school physical education practicum?” was analyzed and described in detail by using NVivo 10. Open coding, axial coding and selective coding (Strauss &Corbin, 1998) were used to form a paradigm model for the improvement of elementary physical education practicum. Throughout these processes, NVivo 10 is an excellent and trustworthy tool in studying elementary school physical education practicum.
