본 연구는 초등체육 직전교사교육의 프로그램을 비교분석하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 이러한 연구는 교육대학교 직전교사교육 교육과정 개발 시 체육교과 관련 교양과정 및 전공과정 프로그램 개발의 방향 설정을 위한 유용한 정보로써 그리고 초등체육 직전교사교육 프로그램 표준화 연구를 위한 기초자료로써 활용 가치를 지닌다. 이를 위하여 본 연구는 Bereday(1964)가 제시한 4단계 비교분석방법을 본 연구의 목적에 맞게 수정해서 활용하였으며, 전국 10개 교육대학교별 문서(대학요람) 및 웹(web)상에 제시된 자료를 수집하여 기술분석, 병치분석, 비교분석의 단계를 거쳐 교양과정과 전공과정인 기본과정 및 심화과정별로 분석하였다. 이상과 같은 연구방법을 통해 다음과 같은 결론에 도달하였다. 첫째, 직전교사교육을 위한 프로그램은 국가수준의 개정 교육과정과 맥을 같이해야 한 다. 둘째, 직전교사교육 프로그램의 표준화가 요구된다. 셋째, 직전교사교육 프로그램이 교과교육학 중심의 교육 과정으로 전환되는 것이 중요하다. 넷째, 체육관련 전공과정 중 기본과정이 보다 강조되어야 할 것이다.
This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of a program concerning a basic course and an intensive course which are cultural courses and major courses of pre-service teacher education for elementary physical education. This is valuable as useful information for establishing a direction for developing a cultural course and major course program concerning physical education curriculum of pre-service teacher education at the university of education, and also is useful as basic data for researching the standardization of a pre-service teacher education program for elementary physical education. This study modified and utilized a four-stage comparative analysis method proposed by Bereday(1964). The study collected data posted on the websites as well as college catalogs of 10 universities of education nationwide, and analyzed them according to cultural course as well as basic course and intensive course which are major courses through a technical analysis step, a juxtaposition analysis step, and a comparative analysis step. The study reached following conclusions. First, the pre-service teacher education program should share the same context of the revised curriculum at the national level. Second, the standardization of the pre-service teacher education program is required. Third, it is important that the pre-service teacher education program should focus more on curriculum and instruction studies. Fourth, it was analyzed that a basic course among physical education required courses should be more emphasized.
