This research was performed to find an alternative activity for maladjusted middle school students. Considering the distinct features of maladjusted students and developed career searching programs, the Career Searching Group Counseling was developed. The Career Searching Group Counseling program consisted of twelve sessions and applied to sixteen students who wanted to participate among those nominated by their homeroom teachers and school guidance department. The others were included as comparative group and received normal class lessons. After participating the program, the career maturity of maladjusted students was enhanced. In the sub-scale of Career Maturity Inventory, Decisiveness, Involvement and Independence was significantly changed, however, Compromise and Attitude of choice didn’t show significant improvement. The result of the research suggests the alternative program for students who are struggling in participating regular classes. As they participate in the Career Searching Group Counseling program, they can understand themselves and investigate information on their future career. It will enhance their career maturity, give motivation and facilitate their career development.
