본 연구의 목적은 Glasser식 학급회의가 초등학생 문제행동의 감소에 미치는 효과를 검증하기 위한 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 대구광역시 소재 S초등학교 3학년 1학급 31명이다. Glasser식 학급회의는 일 주일에 5번, 1개월 동안, 총 10회, 실시하였다. 문제행동으로는 네 종류의 문제행동, 즉 지각, 신체적 폭력, 따돌림, 말싸움을 선정하였다. Glasser식 학급회의가 시작되기 전까지는 기초선 측정을 하였으며 그 이후에는 처치 후 측정을 실시하였다. 모든 측정은 4가지의 문제행동에 대해 아동 스스로 하교하 기 전에 자기 평가 카드에 기록하도록 하였다. Glasser식 학급회의에 따른 학생의 문제행동 감소에 미 치는 효과를 알아보기 위하여 빈도의 변화 추이를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, Glasser식 학급회의에 참여 한 학생들의 문제행동, 즉 지각, 신체적 폭력, 따돌림, 말다툼의 빈도가 감소하였다. 연구결과와 관련 하여 논의를 전개하였다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the Glasser's Classroom meeting upon the decrease in problem behaviors of elementary school students. The subjects of the study were 31 students of one class of third grade at an elementary school in Daegu. A total of 10 times of Glasser's Classroom meeting were held. The research was conducted from June 22, 2007 to July 21, 2007. To verify the effects of the program, we had a total of 7 observations for the base line, and 10 observations for the treatment effects. The results of the study were as follows. The subjects' problem behaviors were gradually decreased. The result showed that the Glasser's Classroom meeting was an effective tool for the decrease in problem behaviors of elementary school students. Further research was suggested.
