본 연구는 척수장애인의 초기에 겪는 경험을 이해하고 이들의 삶을 사실적으로 규명함과 동시 에 효과적인 사회복지 개입을 위한 방향을 설정하기 위해서 현상학적 연구방법으로 시도되었다. 그리고 본 연구는 이들의 초기 적응을 위한 효과적인 중재방법을 찾기 위한 목적으로 척수장애인 5명을 연구 참여자로 시도되었다. 연구결과 연구 참여자들이 기술한 자료에서 나타난 의미 있는 진술 중 의미가 중복된 진술을 제외한 54개의 구성된 의미를 14개의 주제모음, 4개로 범주화 하였 다. 4개의 범주는 초기대응과 합병증, 변화와 한계를 경험, 적응을 돕는 지지, 자립생활 노력과 기 대로 구성되었다. 본 연구 결과는 척수장애인들의 초기 적응을 위한 장애인복지 서비스 개입을 위 한 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다.
This study was conducted to aims to figure out the phenomenological of people with spinal cord injury of in the initial adaptation process and social welfare intervention will be able to provide foundation. This study focused on the life of spinal cord injury people through a qualitative research methodology of a variety of meanings related to the initial adaptation process and would like to discover the structure through interpretation of the human experience. And this study aimed to provide an important foundation to identify and set the direction for effective social welfare intervention was attempted. To this end, this study has formed a unified statement 54 theme, 14 theme cluster, 4 categories of people with spinal cord injury of the initial adaptation process. This study provides for establishing a policy for people with spinal cord injury that assists for people with spinal cord injury and provides basic data for them.
