이 연구의 목적은 지역사회에서 일어나고 있는 임파워먼트실천의 진행 상황을 면밀히 살펴 이의 활용을 한층 강화할 수 있는 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 지역사회 임파워먼트실천 네 사례를 선정하여, 사업 당당 사회복지사와 면접을 통해, 1) 지역사회 임파워먼트실천이 이루어진 배경, 2) 지역사회 임파워먼트실천이 이루어진 과정, 3) 지역사회 임파워먼트실천에서 중요하게 활용 된 지식 및 기술, 4) 지역사회 임파워먼트실천에서 얻은 주요 결과, 5) 기존 지역사회 조직화사업 과 지역사회 임파워먼트실천이 다른 점, 6) 실천사례에 대한 평가 들을 알아보았다. 결과에 근거 하여 지역사회 임파워먼트실천의 활성화를 위한 전략적 과제로, 1) 교육, 실천, 연구를 연계한 상 호 보완, 2) 유형의 다양성을 고려한 전문성 강화, 3) 기존 사업과 임파워먼트실천의 분별과 결 합, 4) 사업의 지속화와 수행기관의 다양화, 5) 기관 및 사업제안서에 대한 합리적 평가 유도, 6) 가족형태 변화의 반영, 7) 수행 기관의 안정화 노력을 제안하였다.
This study aims to grasp the actualities and strategical tasks for activating the communitybased empowerment practice(CBEP). For this study, four social workers conducted the CBEP are interviewed with structured questions as follows; 1) backgrounds of the CBEP, 2) process of the CBEP, 3) applied main knowledge and skills for the CBEP, 4) results of the CBEP, 5) differences between the community organizing works and the CBEP, and 6) evaluations of the CBEP. As results, seven strategical tasks are suggested as follows; 1) mutual supplementation of education, practice, and research, 2) strengthening the professional identity considering the various exile of the CBEP, 3) classification and combination between the community organizing works and the CBEP, 4) continuance of the practice and diversification of executing agencies, 5) rational evaluation on the agencies and their proposals, 6) reflecting the changing of the family structure, and 7) efforts for executing agencies’ stabilizing.
