The purpose of this study is to examine the real face of Sahak in the former term of the Yi Dynasty by analyzing and synthesizing the selection of students, the management of attendance of these, the instruction of these, the evaluation of the achievement of these. The main points from this study are as follows; The peasntry could be qualified to enter the Sahak, but in fact the nobleman named Yangban entered the Sahak. The management of attendance to promote attendance of students was equipped at the Sahak. In spit of this management, the students did not attend at the Sahak for many reasons ..... the defacement of the students manners, the conflict with the political organizations and so on. The curriculums were Sohak, Four books, Five classics, ,poet, boo and so on, The curriculums, however, had rarely been put in practice by many variables .... the academic position of the teachers, the position of the King and the political organizations, the climate of the student, the social climate and so on. The aim of six tests was to have students develop their abilities best. Considering the standard and guiding principles of the kang-kyeong and je-sool, the education of Sahak was not simply memorizing of knowledge but aimed at the education for the development of all kinds of ability in students based on the harmony of high- leveled knowledge and lofty emotion necessary to charcter- building.
