The purpose of this study was to examine any possible differences among preservice early childhood teachers in awareness of nature- friendly educational activities. It's basically meant to provide information on curriculum development for the departments related to early childhood education and on nature-friendly early childhood education, and to seek ways of enhancing the qualities of preservice early childhood teachers. The subjects in this study were 260 students at three different colleges that were respectively located in the city of Busan, North Gyeongsang Province and South Gyeongsang Province. Some of them were in their second year in the departments of child welfare & educare and early childhood education, and the others were freshmen, sophomores and juniors who majored in early childhood education. After a survey was conducted, the answer sheets from 240 respondents were gathered, and the answer sheets from 146 respondents were analyzed except for 94 incomplete ones. As for statistical analysis, the statistical package SPSS WIN 12.0 was employed, and frequency analysis, independent-samples t-test and one-way ANOVA were carried out. The findings of the study were as follows: Concerning differences among the preservice early childhood teachers in awareness of nature-friendly educational activities, there were significant differences according to their experience in nature-friendly education, experience of taking a course related to nature-friendly education and department. The preservice early childhood teachers who majored in early childhood education, had more experience to engage in nature-friendly activities and took more courses related to nature- friendly education took a better view of nature-friendly educational activities.
