The purpose of the study is to analyze between the real history and film criticism on the blockbuster, Gangs of New York This movie offers an account of the immigration history and birth of a nation through the conflict of gangs in New York slum Five Points. Featuring Daniel Day?Lewis as a nativist gang leader and butcher Bill and DiCaprio as Amsterdam, the son of an Irish immigrant priest, are the central point of the plat. Martin Scorsese brings to life one of the more fascinating aspects of New York s history. Gorgeous costuming and sets do an unusually gocd job of animating the images that have become dull irons for historians of the antebellum New York. The reality the social conditions and feature> are very similar the movie. For example, gangs, butcher Bill, and Boos Tweed are existed and the gangs influenced the social and political structure of New York City in the nineteenth century. Although his effort of the vivid historical reconstruction, the movie have historical errors, such as the exaggerated presence of Chinese. And Scorsese transposed events from earlier and later periods to 1863 serves more than just the narrative demands of the genre.
