This paper suggests a basis that philosophical education for children can
become the methodology of group philosophical counseling. It can be naturally
connected to children’s group philosophical counseling because philosophical
education itself raises children’s empathy ability, which has an effect of healing
their problems. This paper seeks to find the possibility of resolving problems
that arise in schools such as bullying, physical violence, and psychological
violence by raising the children’s ability to empathize through the
sympathy-oriented philosophical education. Children recover their communal
character in respecting and being considerate of others by learning the manner
of acknowledging other people’s characters through the philosophical education
of enhancing their empathic abilities. Children philosophical counseling
establishes the values and views of the world in children who are at a very
sensitive age; not only does it become a very effective education for children
but it also contributes to the children’s wellbeing and happiness. Philosophical
education resolves many problems children face by improving their reasoning
ability and empathic abilities. Therefore, this paper seeks to find the legitimacy
of a suitable methodology of children’s group philosophical education that can
heal their broken hearts.
