Evaluation of the Biocontrol Potential of Some Medicinal Plant Materials Alone and in Combination with Trichoderma harzianum Against Rhizoctonia solani AG 2-1
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 10 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2011, 27권 1호 11 68-77 (10 pages)
Fifty five species of medicinal plant materials were tested for their antifungal activity in vitro against Rhizoctonia solani AG 2-1 and Trichoderma harzianum to select plant species that can be used to improve the biocontrol efficacy of T. harzianum. Six species were effective against R. solani AG 2-1 but were also antagonistic to T. harzianum, except for Cinnamomum loureirii stem bark (CSB). CSB inhibited mycelial growth of R. solani AG 2-1 by 73.7% but showed an inhibitory effect on mycelial... -
Transgenic Rice Plants Expressing an Active Tobacco Mitogen-activated Protein Kinase Kinase Induce Multiple Defense Responses
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 9 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2008, 24권 4호 2 375-383 (9 pages)
It is well known that NtMEK2, a tobacco MAPK kinase, is the upstream kinase of both salicylic acidinduced protein kinase and wound-induced protein kinase. In addition, expression of NtMEK2DD, a constitutively active mutant of NtMEK2, is known to induce multiple defense responses in tobacco. In this study, transgenic rice plants that contained an active or inactive mutant of NtMEK2 under the control of a steroid inducible promoter were generated and used to determine if a similar MAPK cascade is... -
Survival of Erwinia amylovora on Surfaces of Materials Used in Orchards
Hyun Ju Choi, Yeon Ju Kim, Yeon-Jeong Lim, Duck Hwan Park 한국식물병리학회 식물병연구 5 Pages
한국식물병리학회 식물병연구 2019, 25권 2호 6 89-93 (5 pages)
Fire blight disease caused by the bacterium, Erwinia amylovora, was observed in apple and pear orchards in Korea in 2015. Since then, it has spread, sometimes over long distances to other orchards. Therefore, we examined the ability of E. amylovora to survive in soils and on the surfaces of common materials such as T-shirts, wrist bands, pruning shears, and rubber boots by both conventional PCR (cPCR) and quantitative PCR (qPCR) methods. E. amylovora was detected in all materials tested in this... -
“Polish One’s Jade with Stones from Another Mountain”: Examining the Case of a New Zealand-Inspired Early Childhood Education Centre in China
Angel Chan, Marek Tesar, Yanting Lin 환태평양유아교육연구학회 Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 24 Pages
환태평양유아교육연구학회 Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 2021, Vol.15 No.1 4 53-76 (24 pages)
This article reports on a case study that investigated the implementation of New Zealand early childhood education (ECE) beliefs in a kindergarten in China and its implications. The study used a process of document analysis and individual interviews with teachers and parents to collect data. The incorporation of “Western” education approaches is not a new phenomenon in China. This paper uses empirical findings to highlight new concerns regarding this ongoing practice. It analyses the tensions... -
The Effectiveness of Football Website in Marketing Mix Perspectives
Kim Min-Sung, Shin Hong-Bum 한국웰니스학회 한국웰니스학회지 11 Pages
한국웰니스학회 한국웰니스학회지 2014, 제 9권 4호 1 1-11 (11 pages)
The purpose of this study was to investigate the practical value of National Football Association websites of six countries by analyzing their contents from the new perspective of marketing mix comprised of 5 elements. In this study, public relations were the lowest part even though it was important part in marketing tools, also BRA and RSA were very popular of football but they were not provided many of website contents. -
Applications of carbon-based materials in solid phase micro-extraction: a review
Jian Guo, Soo-Jin Park, Long-Yue Meng, Xinghua Jin 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 8 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2017, Vol.24 2 10-17 (8 pages)
With continuous development in the field of sample preparation technology, solid phase micro-extraction (SPME) has been widely used in analytical chemistry for high extraction efficiency and convenient operation. Different materials lead to different extraction results. Among existing materials, carbon-based materials are still attracting attention from scientists due to their excellent physical and chemical properties as well as their modifiable surfaces, which could enhance the adsorption... -
Study on properties of eco-friendly reduction agents for the reduced graphene oxide method
Young-il Na, Young Il Song, Sun Woo Kim, Su-Jeong Suh 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 9 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2017, Vol.24 1 1-9 (9 pages)
We studied the basic properties and fabrication of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) prepared using eco-friendly reduction agents in the graphene solution process. Hydrazine is generally used to reduce graphene oxide (GO), which results in polluting emissions as well as fixed nitrogen functional groups on different defects in the graphene sheets. To replace hydrazine, we developed eco-friendly reduction agents with similar or better reducing properties, and selected of them for further analysis. In... -
One-step synthesis of dual-transition metal substitution on ionic liquid based N-doped mesoporous carbon for oxygen reduction reaction
Ulziidelger Byambasuren, Yukwon Jeon, Dorjgotov Altansukh, Yunseong Ji, Yong-Gun Shul 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 12 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2016, Vol.17 No.1 8 53-64 (12 pages)
Nitrogen (N)-doped ordered mesoporous carbons (OMCs) with a dual transition metal system were synthesized as non-Pt catalysts for the ORR. The highly nitrogen doped OMCs were prepared by the precursor of ionic liquid (3-methyl-1-butylpyridine dicyanamide) for N/C species and a mesoporous silica template for the physical structure. Mostly, N-doped carbons are promoted by a single transition metal to improve catalytic activity for ORR in PEMFCs. In this study, our N-doped mesoporous carbons were... -
Activated carbons prepared from mixtures of coal tar pitch and petroleum pitch and their electrochemical performance as electrode materials for electric double-layer capacitor
Eunji Lee, Soon Hyung Kwon, Poo Reum Choi, Ji Chul Jung, Myung-Soo Kim 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 8 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2015, Vol.16 No.2 2 78-85 (8 pages)
Activated carbons (ACs) were prepared by activation of coal tar pitch (CTP) in the range of 700°C-1000°C for 1-4 h using potassium hydroxide (KOH) powder as the activation agent. The optimal activation conditions were determined to be a CTP/KOH ratio of 1:4, activation temperature of 900°C, and activation time of 3 h. The obtained ACs showed increased pore size distribution in the range of 1 to 2 nm and the highest specific capacitance of 122 F/g in a two-electrode system with an organic... -

한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2014, Vol.15 No.4 1 219-237 (19 pages)
The element carbon has been used as a source of energy for the past few hundred years, and now in this era of technology, carbon has played a significant and very prominent role in almost all fields of science and technology. So as an honour to this marvellous element, we humans should know about its various forms of existence. In this review article, we shed light on all possible carbon-allotropes; similarities in their synthesis techniques and the starting materials; their wide range of...
