Conglutinin is a high molecular-weight lectin originally detected in bovine serum. This in vitro study evaluated the detrimental effect of acute gamma (g)-irradiation on rat immature hippocampal neurons. Precise calving monitoring is essential for minimizing the effects of dystocia in cows and calves. The purpose of our study was to investigate changes in immunological parameters induced by weaning stress (including milk restriction) in calves.
