Yingxiao Fu, Jianhong Gu, Yi Wang, Yan Yuan, Xuezhong Liu, Jianchun Bian, Zong-Ping Liu 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 6 Pages
대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2015, 제 16권 제 2호 3 151-156 (6 pages)
The purpose of this study was to determine whether the Ca signaling pathway is involved in the ability of osteoprotegerin (OPG) to inhibit osteoclast differentiation and maturation. RAW264.7 cells were incubated with macrophage colony-stimulating factor (M-CSF) + receptor activator of nuclear factor-κB ligand (RANKL) to stimulate osteoclastogenesis and then treated with different concentrations of OPG, an inhibitor of osteoclast differentiation. The intracellular Ca concentration [Ca]i and... -
Feasibility of utilizing the patellar ligament angle for assessing cranial cruciate ligament rupture in dogs
Jung-ha Lee, Soon-wuk Jeong 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 6 Pages
대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2014, 제 15권 제 4호 8 563-568 (6 pages)
The patellar ligament angle (PLA) was assessed in 105 normal stifle joints of 79 dogs and 33 stifle joints of 26 dogs with a ruptured cranial cruciate ligament (CrCL). The PLA of stifles with complete CrCL rupture was significantly lower than that of normal stifles, particularly at a flexion angle of 60∼80o in both plain and stress views. If the PLA was <90.55o on the stress view with a 60∼80o flexion angle, the dog was diagnosed with a complete rupture of the CrCL with a sensitivity of 83.9%... -

Hyun Ju Hong, Wonyoung Kang, Dong Geon Kim, Dae Ho Lee, Youngjae Lee, Chang-Hoon Han* 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 7 Pages
대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2014, 제 15권 제 2호 2 179-185 (7 pages)
The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of resveratrol on the insulin signaling pathway in the liver of obese mice. To accomplish this, we administered resveratrol to high fat diet-induced obese mice and examined the levels of protein phosphorylation in the liver using an antibody array. The phosphorylation levels of 10 proteins were decreased in the high fat diet and resveratrol (HFR) fed group relative to the levels in the high fat diet (HF) fed group. In contrast, the... -
Tissue-specific expression of the NOD-like receptor protein 3 in BALB/c mice
Zhiqiang Huang, Meng Yu, Shuang Tong, Kun Jia, Rongchang Liu, Heng Wang, Shoujun Li*, Zhangyong Ning* 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 5 Pages
대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2014, 제 15권 제 2호 1 173-177 (5 pages)
Activation of the innate immune system requires recognition of pathogen-associated molecular patterns, such as NOD-like receptors. The NOD-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) inflammasome is involved in induction of the pro- inflammatory cytokine, IL-1β, and subsequent inflammatory responses. NLRP3 inflammasome plays important roles in the inflammatory and innate immune responses associated with autoimmune/inflammatory syndrome. However, analysis of the tissue distribution and expression profiles... -

Akt/protein kinase B is a well-known cell survival factor and activated by many stimuli including mechanical stretching. Therefore, we evaluated the cardioprotective effect of a brief mechanical stretching of rat hearts and determined whether activation of Akt through phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) is involved in stretch-induced cardioprotection (SIC). Stretch preconditioning reduced infarct size and improved post- ischemic cardiac function compared to the control group. Phosphorylation of...
