This study examines the self-monitoring tendency’s role in communication campaign message effects. Analysis of survey data in a charity campaign context indicates that high self-monitors evaluate the charity campaign message more favorably than low self-monitors. We demonstrated an effective way of preparing melt spinnable mesophase pitches via catalytic hydrogenation of petroleum residue (fluidized catalytic cracking-decant oil) and their subsequent thermal soaking.
