This study investigated the effects of proline-serine (PS) and valine-serine (VS) dipeptides on melanogenesis in Mel-Ab cells. Therefore, we conclude that octyl gallate inhibits ATP-induced [Ca2+]i increase in PC12 cells by inhibiting both non-selective P2X receptor-mediated influx of Ca2+ from extracellular space and P2Y receptor-induced release of Ca2+ from intracellular stores in protein kinase-independent manner. and ROS production was not significantly affected by treatment with indomethacin (Indo) and nordihydroguaiaretic acid (NDGA), selective inhibitors of cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipoxygenase (LOX), respectively. Treatment with 5,8,11,14- eicosatetraynoic acid (ETYA), a non-metabolizable analogue of AA, markedly produced ROS and activated the KCC.
