Effectiveness of 99mTc-tetrofosmin for assessment of heart functions in micropigs
Min Young Lee, Sang Hun Lee, Jae Hong Park, Jung Sun Heo, Yu Jin Lee, Han Na Suh, Jung Jun Min, Young Soon Seo, Ho Jae Han 대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 5 Pages
대한수의학회 Journal of Veterinary Science 2007, 제 8권 제 3호 4 223-227 (5 pages)
This study examined the suitability of a nuclear imaging technique using 99mTc-tetrofosmin as an agent to assess the heart functions of healthy micropigs. The mean age of the pigs was 360 days (male), and the mean body weight was 35.3 kg ranging from 34.5-36 kg. There were no significant perfusion defects in any of the reconstructed images. Gated single-photon emission computed tomography imaging can be used to calculate the ventricular volume and ejection fraction (EF). In this case, an EF of... -
Analysis of Illustrations of Music Textbooks for 5th-6th Grade Elementary School Students
Moonjung Yoon 한국음악교육학회 음악교육연구 16 Pages
한국음악교육학회 음악교육연구 2021, 제 50권 제 2호 6 117-132 (16 pages)
The purpose of this study was to draw attention to the research of illustrations in music textbooks to encourage further studies, and to provide basic data and suggestions for future illustration studies. For this, 1390 illustrations in 16 music textbooks for 5th-6th graders in elementary school used since 2018. To conduct this study, analysis criterion was established based on prior research, which are the content areas of music education, type, function, and purpose of illustrations. According... -
Short-Term Effects of Low-Level Heavy Metal Contamination on Soil Health Analyzed by Nematode Community Structure
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 11 Pages
한국식물병리학회 The Plant Pathology Journal 2016, 32권 4호 6 329-339 (11 pages)
The short-term effects of low-level contamination by heavy metals (As, Cd, Cu, and Pb) on the soil health were examined by analyzing soil nematode community in soils planted with tomatoes. For this, the soils were irrigated with five metal concentrations ([1, 1/4, 1/4, 1/4, and 0] × maximum concentrations [MC] detected in irrigation waters near abandoned mine sites) for 18 weeks. Heavy metal concentrations were significantly increased in soils irrigated with MC of heavy metals, among... -

In order to meet the increasing need for quality conscience crops and to utilize the resources efficiently, the concept of Greenhouse was introduced. It assists in accurate monitoring and controlling of various parameters, in order to nurture healthy crops. In this paper efforts are made to acknowledge the problems associated with maintaining precise environmental conditions, and to implement a sophisticated system to supervise the real-time monitoring and controlling operation inside the... -
Ruining Representation:Barbara Kruger's Text-and-Image Montage
Hee-young KIM 한국조형교육학회 조형교육 19 Pages
한국조형교육학회 조형교육 2010, 제 36집 6 183-201 (19 pages)
This paper regards the text-and-image montage of Barbara Kruger(b.1945) as a critique of the stereotyped representations of women in late capitalist consumer society. By appropriating the devices of advertising and mimicking spectacle (Sussman, 1989: 10-13), Kruger calls into question the representations of women in mass media and ultimately intends to expose and depose the “system of subjection”(Owens, 1992). The issues of the commodification and the consumption of images are central to a... -
The Korean-Vietnamese Multicultural Families’ Experiences of Visiting Maternal Homes in Vietnam
Yonghee Hong, YoungE Ra, Haejeon Kim, Wooyong Jeun, Jiyoung Oh 환태평양유아교육연구학회 Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 22 Pages
환태평양유아교육연구학회 Asia-Pacific journal of research in early childhood education 2019, Vol.13 No.1 6 107-128 (22 pages)
The purpose of this research was to explore the experiences of Korean-Vietnamese multicultural families when visiting their maternal homeland, Vietnam, and to investigate the educational program of supporting their visits. The research participants were 42 Korean-Vietnamese multicultural families who participated in the program. Researchers collected data through group discussion and pre- and follow-up interviews with participants. The results of this research were as follows. As for the... -
Optical sensitivity of DNA-dispersed single-walled carbon nanotubes within cement composites under mechanical load
Jin Hee Kim, Inkyu Rhee, Yong Chae Jung, Sumin Ha, Yoong Ahm Kim 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 7 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2017, Vol.24 12 90-96 (7 pages)
We demonstrated the sensitivity of optically active single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) with a diameter below 1 nm that were homogeneously dispersed in cement composites under a mechanical load. Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) was selected as the dispersing agent to achieve a homogeneous dispersion of SWCNTs in an aqueous solution, and the dispersion state of the SWCNTs were characterized using various optical tools. It was found that the addition of a large amount of DNA prohibited the... -
Double-walled carbon nanotubes: synthesis, structural characterization, and application
Yoong Ahm Kim, Kap-Seung Yang, Hiroyuki Muramatsu, Takuya Hayashi, Morinobu Endo, Mauricio Terrones, Mildred S. Dresselhaus 한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 12 Pages
한국탄소학회 Carbon Letters 2014, Vol.15 No.2 4 77-88 (12 pages)
Double walled carbon nanotubes (DWCNTs) are considered an ideal model for studying the coupling interactions between different concentric shells in multi-walled CNTs. Due to their intrinsic coaxial structures they are mechanically, thermally, and structurally more stable than single walled CNTs. Geometrically, owing to the buffer-like function of the outer tubes in DWCNTs, the inner tubes exhibit exciting transport and optical properties that lend them promise in the fabrication of field-effect... -
