encounters and feelings of empowerment. The challenges were building trust, identifying experiences from imaginary stories, listening attentively, responding to difficult life situations of children, and addressing power distribution. The paper highlights the possibilities for promoting children’s inclusion and participation through ethically considered interviewing and seeing research process as a chance to give them experiences about competence, involvement and becoming listened to by adults. -

and revolution). A form of collectively supported scientific consciousness was realized through discussions, imagining and re-imagining of everyday objects as scientific phenomenon. Scientific laws, as the rules of the scientific play being enacted by the family, enabled the child to be both imagining and viscerally experiencing which cannot be seen. The findings contribute to understanding how families create playful conditions that support scientific learning in the early childhood period. -

There was a significantly positive correlation between aesthetic teaching beliefs and practices. (4) The interviewed early childhood educators agreed with the importance of aesthetic education. They argued to develop children’s aesthetic feelings through exploring nature and arts, and to guide children in appreciating various arts and local arts. However, their difficulties were a lack of enough knowledge in arts appreciation, and insufficient arts resources in the mountains and rural areas. -

the support of the mother and teacher (Vygotsky, 1987). Further findings reveal that the absence of everyday routines adds to the range of heightened emotions felt by the individual child and collectively in the family and attending school is one of the first stable routines that the child undertakes. It is argued that a cultural-historical reading of this situation offers a different perspective and beginning theorization on the emotional development of children transitioning internationally. -

the stage for the author’s suggestion that preschoolers’ social-emotional understanding would also likely benefit, if story reading goals and strategies were changed to focus on higher-level story comprehension. Examples of suitable storybooks and comprehension support strategies are used to illustrate how the complementary goals of supporting story comprehension and social-emotional learning might be addressed. These examples also suggest a research intervention needed to determine whether... -

50-60 minutes each time. I collected the data in three different ways: field notes, audio recordings, and video recordings. Data was analyzed according to five mathematical concepts: number and operation, space and shape, measurement, pattern and data analysis and probability. Based on the results of this study, children mainly experienced and developed mathematical concepts of ‘number and operation’, ‘space and shape’ and ‘measurement’ while role-playing in a spaceship and a fruit store. -

Findings showed that, 20 students made an effort in interactive communication through the virtual lessons, and their feelings changed from skepticism towards their virtual-learning college experiences to seek their learning motivation and the meaning of self-realization in virtual English conversation classes. In addition, interactive strategies were required in seeking bi-directional communicative methods to improve students’ learning motivation. It was also found that the students...
