고해상도 및 슬림형이 가능한 프로젝션 TV용 광학계를 설계하였다. 조명광학계, 투사광학계, 색분리 합성계 그리고 마이크로 디스플레이 사이의 상호관계를 정량화하여 최적의 광학엔진을 구현하기 위한 초기데이터를 설정하고, 이로부터 최적화 과정을 통하여 각각의 광학계를 설계하였다. 고휘도를 구현하기 위한 3-panel 방식을 도입하고, 4개의 프리즘을 대칭적으로 배열하여 RGB의 광경로가 동일하도록 색분리 합성계를 구성하여 조명광학계를 컴팩트하게 설정하였다. 또한 투사광학계의 렌즈 군 사이에 거울을 삽입하여 접은 형태로...
