The aim of present study was to characterize phosphate uptake and to investigate the mechanism for the insulin and insulin-like growth factor(IGF) stimulation of phosphate uptake in primary cultured rabbit renal proximal tubule cells. The temperature dependence of Na+-dependent succinate uptake was studied in brush border (BBMV) and basolateral (BLMV) membrane vesicles isolated from the rabbit kidney cortex.
