and revolution). A form of collectively supported scientific consciousness was realized through discussions, imagining and re-imagining of everyday objects as scientific phenomenon. Scientific laws, as the rules of the scientific play being enacted by the family, enabled the child to be both imagining and viscerally experiencing which cannot be seen. The findings contribute to understanding how families create playful conditions that support scientific learning in the early childhood period. -

The research reported in this study focuses on intellectual play activities involving pendulums carried out by young children at a kinder - garten in Japan. Over the course of three weeks, five-year-old children partic - ipated in these pendulum play activities. They made pendulums by themselves, tried them out, compared them with... -

expectations and confidence, as well as between self-management and satisfaction with college, and this resulted in a sequential double mediating effect. Fourth, in the multi-group analysis, there was only one significant difference in the effect of satisfaction with transition on satisfaction with college, and that was between the self-catering and commuting groups. Based on these results, implications for educational policies for student transition and adaptation to college are discussed. -

and neoliberal discourses of global citizenship education, global educators must employ critical lenses in order to disrupt these discourses that dominate teaching about the world in secondary education. Using China as a reference point, the paper focuses primarily on how Social Education works pedagogically to explain and/or extend difference, and considers the foundations of how we come to be and act as global citizens within the context of learning about China in the United States. -
Gait analysis on the condition of arm swing in healthy young adults
Hyun-Min Koo, Su-Young Lee 물리치료재활과학회 Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Science 6 Pages

walking conditions, significant difference of gait velocity, stride length, cadence, and double limb support was noticed (p<0.05), except step time and single limb support. Gait velocity and stride length were significant reduced, and in cadence and double limb support were increased (p<0.05). Condition 3 had the most significant decrease of gait ability compared with condition 1 (p<0.05). Conclusions: These finding suggested that constraint arm swing conditions reduced gait ability in healthy... -

of the brain wave recordings between the two groups. Results: When compared with the control group, relative alpha waves for frontal lobe F3 and F4, and relative beta waves for frontopolar Fp2, F3, and F4 were more significantly improved in the experimental group (p<0.05). Conclusions: MIT combined with physical training has a positive influence on brain waves in stroke patients. These results suggest that the MIT is feasible and beneficial for improving brain activity for persons who have had a...
